«APRONIA» is a set of services dedicated to childhood and adolescence with a reception 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

The Welcome in the home «PRINCIPITO»

We offer around 30 places, for children and young people from 4 years to 18 years. Exceptionally newborns or babies can be welcomed. The welcome can be temporary, annual or as in most cases: permanent.

Young people stay until they can start an independent life.

 

 

Criteria for admission in the home

The admission criteria are strict. Indeed, to be welcomed, children and adolescents must be in a  situation of danger to their  integrity  (abandonment, risks of violence or abuse, etc …)

Children can also be welcomed at the request of parents in great difficulties.

Pedagogy and Education

All children and young people go to the neighborhood school or college. Adolescents who exceed school age can benefit from a study grant of 3 years or more, this is granted by the State or by Apronia according to financial availabilities. The beneficiaries must work at 20% to help finance this.

We also offer children all the attention and standard of living that a Peruvian middle class family could offer. Children and young people are surrounded and trained by professional animators and educators. They are able to support and support children in their personal sufferings, in their school activity and even manage legal interventions.

Social help outside the home

The demand in shelters is very large in the region. Unfortunately, many young people can not be welcomed due to lack of resources to receive them. However, the social assistants of Apronia try to ensure a follow-up in their places of life.

The main aid situations are: psychological support, legal support, support for unmarried single mothers, financing of medical care, prosthesis purchase, eyewear, organization of emergency evacuations in major hospitals (Cusco, Lima) .

Preparation for active life: solidarity companies

Young people can start their professional life doing an apprenticeship in one of the Apronia companies. Indeed, to offer training sites, create local jobs and finance households, three solidarity companies work at “full” regime.

Lodge eco-touristico «ESTANCIA BELLO HORIZONTE»

The Bello Horizonte hostel is located in a unique painting in the middle of the Amazon jungle. This site allows you to enjoy the biodiversity in a place of tranquility and discover the harmonious melodies of the wild fauna. The lodge also offers typical meals, transportation and excursion programs in the jungle.
